For people in modern age, it is possible to plant without any soil at all. The way of the planting is known as hydroponic system. It is a system of planting which media of planting is using mineral substance. The mineral substance which often be used in this system of planting is water.

The hydroponic system is a system which is actually divided into several types. There are for about seven type of hydroponic system which often be used in many parts of the world. Those systems are; Deep Water Culture Hydroponic System, Water Culture Hydroponic System, Ebb and Flow Method Hydroponic System, Nutrient Film Technique Hydroponic System, Drip Hydroponic System, Aeroponic Hydroponic System, and Wick Hydroponic System. All of the system uses the media of mineral substance for sure, but each uses different method.

The system of hydroponic can be used as one alternative in planting. It can also be a problem solver for people who are living in area with plenty water but lack of soil. Besides, it also cost less because the water system which has been used in a planting can be reused in the future to plant again. It is of course a beneficial alternative system of planting, isn’t it?
